Recalibration™
“Why?”
— From a neurosurgeon who has come to understand “maintaineth.” —
The Position of Recalibration™ — Its relationship with medicine and the stance of this site —
Recalibration™ is a perspective, inspired by many years of clinical experience and observation in neurosurgery, for quietly revisiting your own bodily sensations.
Not a substitute for medical care
Medical consultation, examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation each have essential roles.
Recalibration™ does not replace any of these.
It does not determine the presence or absence of disease, identify the cause of symptoms, judge normality or abnormality, or propose treatment plans.
If you have concerns about your health, if new symptoms or sudden changes occur, if symptoms persist, or if daily life is affected,
please consult a medical institution rather than relying solely on the content of this site.
Specific safety notes, including urgent situations, are described on the next page.

Medical evaluation and what the person feels
The absence of clear structural abnormalities on examination is not the same as the absence of discomfort felt by the person.
Conversely, feeling discomfort or differences between the left and right sides of the body does not, by itself, determine the presence or cause of disease.
Recalibration™ does not attempt to fill this gap with its own diagnosis.
It is a supplementary line that helps you revisit how you are feeling now, without rushing to conclusions, while respecting necessary medical evaluation.
The tongue photograph, forward gaze, grounding of the feet, posture, and left–right bodily sensations are treated not as diagnostic findings
but as entry points for returning attention to your present bodily sensations.
You may notice something. You may notice nothing. Neither, by itself, becomes a conclusion of disease or abnormality.

The role of medical professionals and the role of the individual
Medical professionals perform necessary examinations, tests, diagnoses, and treatments.
Individuals notice their own bodily sensations and, while receiving necessary information and support, choose their next actions.
These two roles are not in conflict.
Recalibration™ does not encourage distancing from medical care, nor does it ask you to make every decision alone.
It values remaining the agent of your own choices while consulting medical professionals when appropriate.
