Tracing the Background of Recalibration™

— From clinical experience to the metaphors of the information environment and the “pivot” —
This section introduces the clinical questions underlying Recalibration™ and the ideas that emerged from them.
Pages 1 through 5 explained the overall concept of Recalibration™, the use of a tongue photograph as one possible entry point for observation,
the basic attitude of receiving what you notice without premature conclusions, its relationship with medical care, and important safety considerations.
From here onward, we will describe, step by step, the problem awareness that arose from long clinical experience,
the relationship between modern information environments and bodily sensations,
the weighting of sensory inputs and postural control with reference to PPPD,
the metaphor of Foucault’s pendulum and the “pivot,”
and the conceptual position of the term Recalibration.

Before Reading

The following pages include:
• generally shared medical and scientific knowledge,
• problem awareness arising from the proponent’s clinical experience,
• metaphors used for explanation,
• and working hypotheses currently under examination.

These are not presented as equally certain.
We will distinguish, as clearly as possible on each page,
what constitutes shared knowledge, what is metaphor for explanation,
and what is a working hypothesis under consideration.

A “working hypothesis” here refers to a provisional conceptual map used to advance examination.
It does not represent an established diagnostic method, treatment, or evidence of the effectiveness of Recalibration™.
The following content does not seek agreement with any particular ideology, belief, or political stance,
nor does it invite participation in any educational, training, or therapeutic program.
It also does not ask you to accept Recalibration™ as the sole correct answer.
You may read only the pages that interest you, or skip sections as needed.
To avoid misunderstanding, certain distinctions will be repeated on multiple pages,
but you do not need to read everything in order.
Explanations regarding background may be corrected or updated as research and examination progress.
